Mr. Tong joined Dominick R. Pilla Associates in 2006, and has been involved in the analysis and design of many structures including residential, educational, and commercial buildings. Mr. Tong’s work involves finite element analysis of structural members and details, design of structural buildings, assessment and renovation of existing structures, and review of shop drawings. Prior to joining Dominick R. Pilla Associates, Mr. Tong gained most of his professional experience while working at a prominent national research institute on building technology in China. He conducted numerous complex projects involving steel, concrete and masonry structures, as well as several important research projects on structural rehabilitation techniques including Carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) application.
