Mr. Puri joined DRPILLA in 2020 with over 30-plus-years of structural engineering experience in various leadership roles. He has considerable global experience in structural analysis, design, value engineering and peer review of a variety of building types in both steel and concrete. Chander’s work includes entertainment and cultural venues, commercial buildings, tall and super tall residential towers, long-span structures, mixed-use and industrial developments in moderate to severe seismic zones. His keen business development, client management and project leadership skills, coupled with extensive engineering background, provides him a strong understanding of the importance of collaboration, creativity and flexibility for the successful delivery of signature projects. He has been involved in several iconic projects, mainly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, including SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Mashreq Bank Headquarters, HBZ Stadium, DMCC Al Mas Tower, Mashreq Bank Headquarters, Zayed National Museum, and One Zabeel Twin Towers.

As a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of The Institution of Structural Engineers, Chander is recognized for his outstanding contributions and commitment to the structural engineering industry. He is passionate about career mentoring and has contributed significantly to programs with his employers and the engineering community. Chander currently serves on SEAoNY Programs Committee. He is Past Vice-Chairman of The Institution of Structural Engineers’ Regional Group in UAE and has contributed to American University of Sharjah’s Civil Engineering curriculum review committee. He has also taught a concrete design course for candidates preparing for the Part III exam leading to Chartered Engineer, MIStructE qualification.

Chander lives in Princeton with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys reading, travelling, walking nature trails and visiting art museums with his family.
