The main and upper levels of the newly constructed main house features exposed white oak trusses. An open floorplan is achieved in the lower level by utilizing reinforced “flat plate” construction in various areas. The basement, foundation walls and footings are cast-in-place, reinforced concrete. The walk-out walls of the basement are clad with 6 inch stone veneer. The roof is a gambrel-style with cedar shingles. The guest house is built around an existing structure which is partially built into the slope of the site. The site’s driveway is partially atop the roof structure of the gust house. The guest structure was structurally evaluated an augmented accordingly using masonry, concrete and steel components.
