The 1930, Tudor style stone mansion, owned and operated by Nyack College, and historically known as the Sky Island Lodge will be receiving a comprehensive remediation including relocated interior stair, new elevator shaft for a 2.5 stop elevator, new windows and doors, and rehabilitated Ludowici clay tile roof. The interior offices will be restored and altered to accommodate a more open and modern floor plan with moveable glass partitions allowing for private employee offices and meeting spaces. The remediation comes after a 2013 gas explosion that left the building unusable and in need of complete restoration.
