Provided structural design for new residence – the building is comprised of two distinct structural systems coupled to provide stability. A four story masonry and wood structure provides the “anchor” for an adjacent elevated steel moment frame 2nd level. The building is founded on spread footings. The elevated level experiences uplift forces due to wind loading and is resolved by deep “fin” footings which are designed to be resolved by the overburden of the soil.
