DRPILLA was selected to provide site/civil engineering services for a 5.1 acre sub-division located at 258 South Boulevard, Orangetown, NY. The project involved development of a subdivision layout, design of site drainage, and the layout and design of utilities and roads. The site was evaluated for pre-development and post-development runoff. The drainage system was designed for a 100-year storm event. Runoff created by impervious surfaces was designed to be discharged into the subsurface by infiltration trench through a plunge pool and a grass channel for pretreatment located on the site; roof runoff was designed to discharge into subsurface dry-wells located down-grade of each house.
