Located at Hamilton Place in Harlem, Hamilton Place Church had suffered severe deterioration due to deferred maintenance. The project involved renovation of the front entrance and a 3,000-SF, 2-story addition housing a Community Center and Chapel. Located on a steep slope, the project entry required terraced stairs. The renovation included new floors, new masonry walls and a new roof, as well as bolstering of the existing structure.
