DRPILLA provided preliminary structural engineering design for a proposed development complex comprised of: a three-level parking structure below grade; above grade retail space; and two, 54-story residential/ hotel towers. The proposed building complex is approximately 1.7-miillion SF of accessible space. The above ground parking structure was designed using pre-cast components. Flat-plate construction was chosen for the towers to maximize floor heights. The perimeter walls of the elevator banks are utilized as a structural core. Retail space was designed as an independent steel frame structure, attached to the concrete towers and parking structure.
