A Comprehensive Interior and Exterior Restoration
DRPILLA was retained to evaluate the existing structural building components and to provide a comprehensive structural assessment with recommendations for the repair and / or reinforcing of the existing three- story structure built in the early 1920’s. The structural system comprises masonry and wood bearing walls supporting wood floor members. All exterior walls are clay masonry bearing walls, supported by a rubble foundation wall. The cladding system of the building is cement based concrete stucco. The roof is a Mansard style roof with dormers on all four sides of the roof. The roof has slopped sides on all four sides of the roof. The chimneys are protruding through the roof on east, west and north side of the house. The roof rafters are cantilevering over the exterior walls and forming a roof eave on each side of the house.
