DRPILLA is currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Bookkeeper/HR Specialist to oversee both financial and human resources recordkeeping. This dual-role position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting and HR administrative skills, capable of working independently while managing multiple responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the general ledger accurately and in a timely manner
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
- Prepare and process payroll, including related reporting and compliance
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records
Human Resources Responsibilities:
- Administer payroll processing, including tax filings, benefits, and compliance with relevant laws
- Manage employee records and ensure accurate documentation of new hires, terminations, and promotions
- Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling
- Support employee onboarding and orientation programs
- Maintain and update company HR policies and procedures to comply with regulations
- Track and manage employee leave (sick, vacation, personal)
- Facilitate employee performance reviews and goal setting
- Assist with employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and mediation
- Coordinate and maintain training and development programs for staff
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proven HR experience with a strong understanding of payroll, benefits, and employee relations
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Unanet) and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and HR compliance
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, HR, or related field is preferred but not required
