Church of the Presentation

DRPILLA provided façade engineering services for the creation of a new 40-foot-tall glass curtain wall entrance at the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River, NJ. This glass entrance establishes a luminous pathway through the church's narthex, enhancing illumination and promoting transparency. Stainless steel ribs gracefully ascend to provide essential structural support for the roof, forming an elegant skeletal framework. Tailored details were meticulously designed to address the unique building conditions and facilitate the seamless integration of the system during construction. The façade glazing was carefully chosen, considering factors such as deflection and stress, given its substantial size. To ensure comprehensive guidance, a detailed Erection and Pre-Stressing Procedure report was crafted, complemented by a comprehensive set of bidding drawings and specifications for the entire system.
