Designing a Foundation for Positive Outcomes
DRPILLA designed the structural system for this newly constructed nine-story, 33,240-square-foot building. The structural foundation system of the building is on a 3 foot – 6 inch thick mat foundation designed to “float” due to existing substandard soil conditions. The building facade is comprised of a brick veneer and terracotta rain screen with metal cladding at the ninth floor. The building construction comprises block and plank construction.
